Inspired by literary works

A recurring theme — or challenge — for my practice is to create works of art inspired by some of my favorite literary works. As a lover of words and books, I find this vein to be an endless well of inspiration.

Here then are a few examples of this practice.

Inspired by Jack Kerouac’s “On The Road”

Inspired by Robert Pirsig’s “Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance”

Inspired by Edward Abbey’s “Desert Solitaire”

Inspired by Jack Kerouc’s “The Dharma Bums”

Inspired by Walt Whitman’s “Leaves of Grass”
Inspired by Henry David Thoreau’s “On the Duty of Civil Disobedience”
